[. . . ] Helmet Mount Instructions For Insight and Alias Lights 1 Remove the light head from the handlebar bracket by removing the attaching screw on the underside of the lamp (Insight lights). Insight lights: Slide the light case mounting base (A) out of the helmet mount unit (B) and attach it to the light head using the attaching screw making sure the lamp is aiming straight. [. . . ] Position the helmet mount light on top of the helmet so it sits on the double thick portion of the strap. Thread the two ends of the strap through the helmet mount bracket slots and secure them by pressing the velcro (D) material together. Make sure the light is positioned properly and adjust the tension of the straps to suit your helmet. Adjust the beam height of the light head by sliding it forward in the bracket slot (Insight lights) or by rotating the head up or down before tightening the side screws (Alias lights). Part #3017-4 INSIGHT LIGHTS Part #3024-2 ALIAS LIGHTS 4 5 D D C D D C 6 This position is advantageous vs. the light mounted on the front portion of the helmet for the following reasons: 1) It helps reduce muscle fatigue in the neck and upper back due to the added weight on the helmet. 2) It allows the helmet to maintain a more stable position on the rider's head during rough off road riding. 3) It creates more distance between the line of site of the user and the point of light emission from the light. This distance creates more shadows in the illuminated area, thus enhancing depth perception and allowing the user to better "read" the terrain. WARNING: This helmet mount is designed ONLY to be positioned on the top of the helmet. Positioning the light as instructed should not adversely affect the ability of your helmet to provide protection in case an impact to the top portion of the helmet. [. . . ] Failure on your part to do so may result in your striking a low hanging object with a portion of this helmet mounted light. This could cause you to lose control of your bicycle, resulting in damage to your bicycle and possibly injure you. Planet Bike Po Box 259267 Madison, WI 53725 www. planetbike. com ©2002. [. . . ]
